Jotty journals are specifically tailored to address the challenges faced by designers during the COVID-19 pandemic, aiding them in effectively managing their day-to-day activities and tasks.

This project was undertaken as part of the CoLab class during my Masters program. It involved collaborating with a group of fellow students to conduct comprehensive primary and secondary research. Our aim was to gain deep insights into the challenges faced by designers and identify personalized features in a journal that would effectively address their needs, simplifying their daily routines. Building upon our research findings, we went on to develop a range of remarkable page customizations. These customizations could be easily selected by customers on our website and were meticulously curated and delivered to them, ensuring a truly personalized journaling experience.

Our research yielded valuable insights into the needs, traits, and problems faced by the elderly, as well as existing solutions and benefits. In addition to desk research, we conducted first-hand research by conducting interviews with three elderly individuals. This approach helped us gain a better understanding of the elderly population and their daily lives, ultimately informing the creation of a persona to guide further development efforts.
